Sarah Sturm

Privateer - Specialized, Rapha, Wahoo, SRAM • Gravel, Mountain Bike & Cyclocross • Durango, Colorado

"Often the travel, logistics and planning are the hardest parts about being a bike racer. The riding is the easiest part! I’ve used for years since I discovered how much easier it is to ship your bike to a race rather than flying with all of your gear. Their customer service has helped through some challenges that you couldn’t even make up, getting me and my bikes to me from events without question. It’s so nice knowing there are real people there to help you out!"

Sarah Sturm grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico playing soccer, swimming and running. She didn't start mountain biking until she was a junior at Fort Lewis College. That's where she discovered her love for the mountains and riding bikes through them. Since then, Sarah has built a career as a graphic designer and a cyclocross and endurance racer. Some gravel and MTB events on her to-do list for this year include the Whiskey Off-Road, Belgian Waffle Ride, Grinduro, Unbound Gravel, Oregon Trail, The Rift, Leadville, SBT GRVL, Last Best Ride, Big Sugar and Spirit World 100. She also is looking forward to cyclocross events in Colorado and Arkansas. "But no matter how I do at an event," she said, "coming home to the mountains remind me why I do the things I do, for the pure love of being outside and exploring!"
